  • + 2016 VISION:

As we come into a brand new year, we do so with high expectations and great anticipation. As a body, we have persevered through great transition and have been positioned not only for what God wants to do next but to see God do His

Best work in us, through us and for us.

Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as an exciting year for the body of Christ; although, in the world, things based on prophetic projections are going to get worse. Pastor Moncur sees 2016 and the ensuing years being years of great difficulties for the world, but for the committed Believer, Pastor Moncur sees 2016 and beyond as years of greater glory for the church as the church is at its best when the world is at its worse. As the body of Christ, we are the Light of the world and in these dark times, our light must shine with greater illumination than ever before for greater Kingdom Impact. Therefore, Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as a year when this church will soar at a new level of spirituality beyond church experiences into their everyday living and approach to life, thus being able to live effective lives

to the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

More than ever before, the world is in need of leadership and not mere persons with titles. The church as God’s agents of change in the earth has been mandated to disciple and thus influences nations. Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as a year when we as a church will rise to the occasion in our various spheres of influence to give Kingdom Leadership to a world that is in chaos. In 2016 therefore, Pastor Moncur sees Word of Life embracing their God ordained mandate to lead in their families, on their jobs, in their communities and elsewhere, so that the Kingdom is able, through them, to be established in our nation. One of the greatest components of effective Leadership, however, is character. Therefore, Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as a year of character building for the Word of Life family so that our walk and our talk are one all the time and

    in every situation.

As we seek to make 2016 a year of Kingdom Impact, Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as a year given to the discovery, activation and serving of our gifts as not only to the church but also to the world. Pastor Moncur sees 2016 as a year where God is going to make room for us as a people but according to the Scripture it is through the use of our gifts that God makes room for us (Proverbs 18:16). We as a people are on our way to greatness but greatness is always proceeded by ones commitment to sharpening and cultivating our gifts because Pastor Moncur sees God taking us as a people in 2016 from giftedness to greatness. The key to operating effectively in ones gifting, however, is not merely working your gift but serving your gift. Pastor Moncur sees 2016, therefore, as a year where we as a body embrace a servant's mentality as we reach out in love to minister life to those around us.

As we seek to make 2016 a year of Soaring, Cultivating and Serving, Pastor Moncur sees Word of Life becoming more than another church whose only existence is to have church but a people of IMPACT who in 2016 and beyond will leave a Godly imprint on our families, communities and in other spheres of influence thus advancing and expanding the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.

In keeping with the General Vision of the house which is to reach out in love, ministering life and liberty through the light of the word of life to a bound , dying and decaying world. It is the mission of the Word of Life Kingdom Ministries Church, a people distinguished by a unique, extraordinary and global assignment, to empower, equip and disciple for the Kingdom and glory of God all who come within our path with the necessary biblical principles and truths so that they are able to fully access, experience and manifest the fullness of the life our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ died that they may live.

It is our mission to not only produce a people who receive the ministry of life, but to disciple a people who receive the ministry of life, mature and develop to a dimension where that through the principles and truths learnt from the word of life, are then able to effectively minister that same life to those they come into contact with. Resulting in their accessing, experiencing and manifesting the fullness of the life Christ died to give them, which is the abundant life.

As a church who is in covenant with God and each other, there are a few things that are expected from each of us as Members of Word of Life:

Hebrews 10:25 commands Christians not to forsake assembling together. Attending services regularly is one of the basic commitments of membership and one of the basic ways that a church member can grow in the faith, get to know other Christians, and allow the church leaders to shepherd and watch over his life.

Members should strive to be present when Christ’s death is commemorated and the church’s unity is displayed in communion.

This is when the church makes decisions as a church that affect the whole church.

    •         PRAY REGULARLY

If your church has a membership directory, consider encouraging members to use it as a prayer list.

    •         GIVE REGULARLY

Members are asked to partner and participate in several biblical areas:

    a)         Tithe which is 10% of all your income which primarily goes toward the overhead expenses of the church so that we are able to adequately sustain our operations as a cutting edge, 21st century ministry.

    b)        Give Pastoral Love offerings - While our pastor receives a salary from the church, we could never really pay him for the tireless work that he does on a daily basis to lead, equip, support and minister to the needs of this congregation. All members are therefore encouraged according to Galatians6:6 to financially support our Pastor on a weekly, monthly or regular basis to ensure that he is able to live comfortably as he executes his duties as our Shepherd and Covering.

    c)         Freewill offerings - This is an offering that is given to support the advancement and building of the church and to aid the church in on-going ministry to our members and to the community. This offering has no stipulation upon it; it should be given based upon the leading of the Holy Spirit or what is significantly and sometimes sacrificially able to do.  Exodus 25:1-9; Acts 4:33-37

Being a member in a local church is like being a hand or an eye (1 Cor. 12:21). You cannot function without all the other parts of the body. Just as a body functions when each part does its job and works together with all the other members, a local church is built up into maturity in Christ as the members minister in an intimately interrelated way  (Eph. 4:15-16, 1 Cor. 12:12-26). So a church should expect that its members will build relationships with other members.

The Scripture says, “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you”

    (Heb. 13:17)

God has given spiritual gifts to every member of the body of Christ so that everyone would use his or her gifts to build up the

entire body (1 Cor. 12:7). A church should expect that all of its members will serve the whole church as God enables.

Jesus, who is the church, said that "My house shall be called a house of prayer". Prayer is the way we remain connected with God and the way we keep God involved and at the centre of everything we do as a church. Prayer is what connects us the spirit realm and is vital for keeping a church spiritually alive and driven in the things of God and the advancement of His kingdom. Habakkuk 2:2, teaches us that as members of a visionary church it is our job after being given the vision by our pastor to run with it. One of the main ways we can run with it is by praying for it. Prayer helps us to run more effectively and powerfully with the vision. – Romans 15:30
